Thank you for taking the time to learn about DataViz Explorer. We are excited to share our early beginnings with you. Our story is one of challenges, hope, resilience, patience, and determination. As a result, we believe these qualities win every time and inspire our journey.

🌿 Humble Beginnings

DataViz Explorer is a registered Barbadian online EdTech small business. We are registered under C.A.I.P.O Business Registration No. 87900® with the Corporate Affairs and Intellectual Property Office (C.A.I.P.O), a division of the Ministry of Energy and Business Development in Barbados.

We began operations in June 2024. However, our official public launch came in October 2024 after two ‘soft’ launches in August and September 2024. 🚀The first launch introduced our business. 🚀The second launch introduced our website.

⚓ Establishment

DataViz Explorer was founded with two main goals:

1. Alternative Options for Data Access

Although we welcome persons of different nationalities, we wanted to provide free and open-sourced data options for United States of America (USA) and Caribbean nationals, especially Barbadians. In many cases, access to data was limited by cost, time zones, legal restrictions, or even hardware and software barriers.

For example, access to basic information often required expensive monthly or yearly subscriptions. Therefore, our goal was to create easier and more affordable access to knowledge.

2. Alternative Education for Aspiring Data Professionals

Many Barbadians showed interest in data careers but lacked affordable resources. Moreover, data information is scattered across many platforms, making it difficult to see the full picture.

Choosing a career path in data often required time, money, and energy that not everyone could afford. In addition, the field is constantly evolving. We wanted to make this process easier, clearer, and more accessible.
